Vern Ceder is lead Python developer at [WWW]Zoro Tools, where he manages web applications on Linux servers hosted in the Amaxon cloud.

I have been using linux actively for 11 years and have both Linux+ and LPI II certifications. I am particularly interested in using Linux on old/unusual hardware, like PDA's, old laptops, internet appliances, etc.

I'm the author of [WWW]The Quick Python Book, 2nd edition, from [WWW]Manning Publications, which can be found [WWW]here.

I also blog at http://learnpython.wordpress.com, mostly on Pythonic topics.

For a desktop distro I favor Ubuntu, and for the weird stuff I usually use Debian, Slackware or a home grown version.

When it comes to programming I am a veteran of C/C++, Pascal and (even) BASIC. Currently I teach Java and Python, but tend to code in Python.
