See how an old Nokia N800 and iRobot's Create, a research version of the Roomba, can be combined to yield a remote controlled robot with remote video. This uses mostly off-the-shelf parts and software for a total Mars rover experience.

The arduino is a small, inexpensive micro-controller that can be used for embedded control in a variety of situations/devices. See how easy it is to start arduino hacking with Linux, and learn what you need to get started.

We are meeting on Jan 21, 2010, 7:00 PM at
Canterbury High School, in the computer lab. The presentations take about an hour, and people generally hang around afterwards to chat.
