Asterisk at Home, by Andrew Latham.

Andrew will be talking about Voice over IP (VoIP) and Asterisk, the open Linux based VoIP server. He'll cover the background, issues and steps involved in running your own VoIP server to handle your telephone traffic. Andrew is the owner and principal of TuxTone, Inc. in Warsaw, and is also the author of the Asterisk sections of O'Reilly's VoIP Hacks.

Date, Time and Location

We are meeting on Nov. 20, 2008, 7:15 PM at [WWW]Canterbury High School, in the computer lab. There will be a Q/A session starting at 6:30 to give people unfamiliar with the topic some background. The presentations take about an hour, and people generally hang around afterwards to chat.

Parking is available in the rear parking lot - enter the back doors, go straight to the end of the hall, turn right, then left, go past the library, then left. The Computer lab is straght ahead at the end of the hall.
